Now is your chance to gain hands-on, front-line experience in an authentic and exciting environment! Royal Dynasty is currently hiring for a part-time position (with the potential to move into a full-time role and even train to become a wok chef) to join our growing team! While you don't need prior experience cooking or preparing Asian food, we are looking for someone who has a true passion, curiosity, and love for food, along with the motivation to learn. Our experienced chefs will guide you step by step, teaching you everything you need to know about our kitchen operations and cuisine. However, applicants must have prior general kitchen experience to ensure a smooth transition into the role. Candidates must also be at least 18 years of age and have reliable transportation. Training begins at a rate of $16 per hour. Once you are fully trained and able to carry out the role independently, your pay will increase to match the base rate for the position. This is a great opportunity to start at an entry level and quickly advance as you build your skills. We are currently seeking coverage for shifts Tuesdays through Sundays, from 11:00 AM to approximately 8:30/9:30 PM. While these hours outline the main needs, flexible scheduling options are available for the right candidates. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Studying recipes thoroughly and learning our menu in detail to ensure accurate preparation of each dish with the correct ingredients and techniques Stocking, labeling, and organizing prep ingredients and maintaining a clean and orderly work area Providing direct support to the wok chefs during service Following all safety and sanitation standards consistently to ensure a safe kitchen environment Cleaning and maintaining your own station, as well as assisting with overall kitchen cleanliness as needed Developing strong communication skills and working effectively as part of a collaborative team Safely lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs when required Skills required: Basic knife skills and comfort handling kitchen tools Strong organizational habits and attention to detail Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Benefits of the position include: The opportunity to learn wok techniques and potentially grow into a wok chef role in the near future Comprehensive, on-the-job training to expand your kitchen skills Complimentary meals provided for each shift worked Exposure to authentic Asian culture, flavors, and culinary traditions Potential for advancement into a full-time position with benefits as the business and your skills grow This is more than just a job—it's a chance to develop your culinary skills, work in a dynamic environment, and be part of a team that values passion, growth, and creativity.
