The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. This role is essential in supporting our Dietary department and delivering exceptional food service to our clients. If you have a love for cooking and a commitment to excellence, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in meal preparation for various dietary needs, ensuring all food handling procedures are followed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other food preparation tools. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service and address any issues that arise during food preparation. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment. Skills Proven experience in meal preparation and food service within a restaurant or similar setting. Strong knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members effectively. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that meet dietary requirements.
