Schedule:
Full-time AM shifts (Monday - Friday, no weekends) Marble Room Sushi, a quick service sushi take-out restaurant, located in the iconic Key Tower in downtown Cleveland, is part of the award-winning Savour Hospitality Group. We are seeking a dedicated AM Sushi Cook to join our team in this high-volume, upscale sushi concept. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled sushi professional who thrives in a fast-paced fine-dining environment and prefers a consistent weekday morning schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute high-quality sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other Japanese-inspired dishes to the exacting standards of Marble Room Sushi. Perform morning prep work including filleting fresh fish, preparing rice, cutting vegetables, making sauces, and setting up stations for service. Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in the sushi station while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines (HACCP standards). Work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chefs, and kitchen team to ensure consistent quality and presentation. Monitor and rotate fresh seafood and ingredients to guarantee the highest freshness and minimize waste. Support the overall kitchen operations during AM hours, including helping with mise en place for the full restaurant.
Qualifications:
Strong knife skills, knowledge of sushi techniques, and understanding of fresh seafood handling. Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced morning environment. ServSafe or equivalent food handler certification is a plus. Team player with a positive attitude and passion for delivering exceptional cuisine. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
