The ideal candidate will play a vital role in the kitchen by assisting with cooking orders on the grill, coordinating with the fry cook and broiler cook and ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking. This position requires a passion for food and an understanding of kitchen operations, making it perfect for individuals looking to grow their culinary skills in a fast-paced environment. Work week is Tuesday through Saturday, off every Sunday and Monday. Performance based raises. Duties Prepare orders on the grill, coordinating with fry and broiler cooks. Prep and stock the grill station to ensure things are ready for your shift. Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, meats, soups and other menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food storage. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure high-quality standards. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages. Skills Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods, including knife skills for efficient food preparation. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations within the food industry. Experience in catering or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in meal preparation.
