Short Order Cook

Job Overview:

We are a small family diner located in Valley City (Medina County). We are looking to hire a full time cook with experience. Must be able to flip eggs and omelettes in a pan. Pay depends on experience. We offer pay incentives. Must be reliable. Our hours are 7am-2pm. We take our last order at 1:30 so everyone can clean up and leave by 2:00pm. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the food industry who enjoys creating delicious meals.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
• Ensure that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations
• Assist with meal planning and menu development
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Cook or similar role in a restaurant, catering, or food service setting
• Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Pay:
