This role supports recovery by delivering consistent, balanced, and timely food service while maintaining strict sanitation and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals in alignment with planned menus and dietary needs (allergen-aware, balanced nutrition) Serve meals on schedule for residential and/or outpatient program needs (detox/residential/PHP/IOP when applicable) Maintain compliance with state health-department and accreditation food-service standards (Joint Commission, CARF, ASAM environment awareness) Monitor kitchen inventory, rotate stock, and submit supply requests (Amazon, food distributors, internal ordering) Maintain a clean, organized kitchen, including dishwashing, equipment sanitation, and trash removal Follow food-handling safety procedures, including proper temperature checks and storage logs Collaborate with clinical and operations staff to accommodate dietary restrictions and meal modifications Report safety hazards, equipment issues, or food-supply shortages to leadership Maintain client-focused professionalism and trauma-informed communication during meal service Required Qualifications 1+ year of cook or kitchen experience Knowledge of food safety, kitchen sanitation, and safe food-handling procedures Ability to pass a background check and required health-screening clearances Ability to work in a structured, compliance-driven environment Reliable transportation Preferred Qualifications Experience in healthcare, treatment centers, or behavioral-health food service Familiarity with high-volume meal prep and dietary accommodations Food Handler's Certification or ServSafe (or willingness to obtain if required)
