Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles quickly and accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems. Operate cash registers with precision, handling cash, credit card transactions, and maintaining accurate cash handling records. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, services, and store promotions with clear communication and friendly phone etiquette. Upsell products such as snacks, beverages, or car accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales. Prepare and serve food items in accordance with health and safety standards while ensuring quality presentation. Stock shelves, merchandise products attractively, and ensure the store is clean, organized, and well-maintained for shoppers. Conduct product demos or promotional activities to engage customers and boost retail sales efforts. Assist with inventory management by stocking supplies regularly and participating in merchandising efforts to highlight featured items. Supervise or assist junior team members when necessary, fostering a collaborative work environment. Follow safety protocols diligently during all operations to ensure a secure environment for staff and customers alike. Skills Strong proficiency with POS systems for efficient transaction processing. Previous supervising experience or leadership skills to guide team members effectively. Ability to perform retail math accurately for cash handling and sales tracking. Excellent communication skills paired with bilingual abilities to serve a diverse customer base. Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of merchandising techniques to optimize product displays and store layout. Basic math skills for cashiering tasks including making change and balancing registers at shift end. Customer service expertise with a focus on friendly interaction, active listening, and problem resolution. Familiarity with upselling strategies to promote additional products confidently. Ability to perform stocking duties efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
