what up!this is chef richard. thanks for checking out this listing. we are looking to bring on a line-cook that will join our crew here at after ours.after ours is a vinyl bar that highlights the owners vietnamese-american experiences, bringing together a culmination of various cultures into one space. its a place for the music lovers, foodies, and craft cocktail connoisseurs. the bottom line, we are a cool bar with cool food, and we are looking for cool folks to come join our crew!
hours of operation are:
sun-wed 9am to 10pmthurs-sat 9am to 2amwe are looking for someone with open availability, available for a minimum of 4 shifts that include weekends.
Line CookWages:
$17/hr + tipsReports to:
General Managers, Shift Leads, Sous Chef Kevin & Chef Richard LeHours:
sun-tues: 3-10:30pmthurs-sat: 5pm-2:00am
Overview:
Line cooks at After Ours will be cooking and prepping Vietnamese influenced foods that accompany cafe programming during the day and bar programming during the evening.
Key Responsibilities:
Cooking foods to highest standards to ensure quality and tastePrepping consistently to ensure inventory is always stockedMaintaining professional attitude during high-stress situationsWillingness to learn and receive critique by peers and chefAbility to see the bigger picture and being a team playerMaintaining cleanliness of workspace and kitchen.
Qualifications:
1+ years kitchen experience in food or bar settingFamiliarity with Vietnamese and American foodsPassion for hospitality and culture-forward spacesAble to stand for extended periods and work in high-energy environmentsMust be able to lift 50 poundsOLCC and Food Handler s Card required or obtained upon hire
