In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, assisting with menu planning, and ensuring food safety standards are consistently met. Whether you have prior restaurant experience or are passionate about food industry work, this role is perfect for someone eager to grow their kitchen expertise and thrive in a collaborative setting. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability. Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently. Cook a variety of menu items with precision, maintaining proper cooking techniques and presentation standards. Follow strict food handling and safety protocols to uphold hygiene standards and prevent cross-contamination. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality control. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and organizing supplies. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or the food industry is highly preferred. Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures. Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward collaboration.
