Job Description
Morgantown Coffeehouse is seeking a professional line cook to join our back of the house team as a full time line cook. We are a local scratch kitchen and have been serving the Morgantown community for nearly a decade and are part of the Take Flight Restaurant Group with various establishments in Chester County. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of one years of experience in a fast casual, quick order and/or breakfast and lunch kitchen, is able to work without direct supervision to ensure dishes are prepared quickly and correctly and is willing to be responsible for opening or closing the kitchen as needed. This is an ideal position for someone looking to work in a low stress friendly kitchen and is a great way to introduce yourself to growing food service company. Applicants must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays during our normal business hours with no restrictions be able to work on their feet for eight hours minimum be able to carry fifty pounds unassisted have their own reliable transportation to Morgantown, Pennsylvania be fluent in conversational English The starting rate for this position is $10/hr and also receives a lucrative portion of our tip sharing program which averages $6/hr. Qualified applicants may be asked to work an unpaid one shift stage as part of the interview process. While we are happy to interview college students home for the summer, we are looking for a long term employee for this position.
