Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and efficient Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will prepare food for diverse, large-scale events, ensuring consistent quality, taste, and presentation in accordance with company standards. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with the chef team to deliver memorable dining experiences for our guests. They are responsible for station setup, bulk food production, buffet maintenance, and efficient, timely service. Ideal candidates have culinary experience, work well under pressure, and are flexible with hours.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation:
Prepare ingredients (chopping, portioning, marinating) and cook menu items for banquets, weddings, and special events following standardized recipes.
Event Service:
Set up, maintain, and tear down buffet stations; assist with plating for plated events, ensuring proper temperature and presentation.
Quality Control:
Ensure all dishes are prepared, garnished, and served to quality standards.
Safety & Sanitation:
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, adhering to all food safety, health regulations, and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) guidelines.
Stock Management:
Monitor inventory, restock stations, and properly label, date, and store leftovers to minimize waste.
Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and culinary team to ensure seamless event execution. Qualifications Previous experience as a Line Cook, Banquet Cook, or in a similar high-volume culinary role. Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Excellent teamwork, communication, and time-management skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. Food safety certification (e.g., SERV Safe) is preferred. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull carts. Ability to work in high-temperature environments. MUST have valid drivers license MUST be able to work weekends and holidays MUST have at least 3 years banquet experience
