Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for breakfast and lunch while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals following established recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is stored, handled, and prepared safely and hygienically
- Collaborate with the dietary department to plan menus that meet nutritional guidelines
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area at all times
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with the team
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Dietary aide experience
- Menu planning expertise
- Culinary background
- Food handling knowledge
