Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines. Assist in menu planning and ingredient preparation to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety regulations. Support food service operations by plating dishes efficiently and maintaining a clean workstation throughout service. Participate in food prep activities such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients for daily menus. Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management of shortages or quality issues. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high-quality standards. Experience Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable. Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service demonstrates your culinary aptitude. Familiarity with food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques is essential. Experience with menu planning, catering, or meal preparation enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods are preferred. Prior kitchen experience within the food industry or restaurant environment will help you excel in this role.
