The Cook Prepares food properly in large quantities for residents, staff an d visitors. Prepare s food properly as assigned according to standardized recipes to produce an acceptable product. T he cook participates in HACCP (Hazzard Analysis Critical Control Point) duties as assigned before and during meal preparation to ensure that an acceptable product is served. Evaluates products according to pre-determined standards and/or preferences. In this role the cook will carry out supervisory responsibilities when the director is unavailable. Requirements for the Co ok : Must have a minimum of 1 year of quantity cooking experience. Be familiar with Microsoft programs and email . Serve Safe Certification preferred; must complete within 90 days of hire. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals .
