Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dependable Line Cook / Breakfast Cook to join the culinary team at The Breakfast Spot. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced breakfast and lunch restaurant where quality, speed, and consistency are essential. As a Line Cook, you will play a key role in preparing fresh, high-quality meals that keep our guests coming back. At The Breakfast Spot, we pride ourselves on delivering flavorful food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Your attention to detail, strong work ethic, and teamwork will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests every day. Responsibilities Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items according to established recipes and portion standards. Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation for every dish served. Assist with daily food prep including chopping vegetables, preparing proteins, sauces, batters, and other ingredients needed for service. Follow proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Work efficiently during busy service periods to ensure tickets are completed quickly and accurately. Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shift. Properly store food and rotate inventory using FIFO practices. Communicate clearly with other cooks and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service. Assist with cleaning duties and closing tasks at the end of each shift. Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a line cook, breakfast cook, or short order cook preferred. Strong knowledge of breakfast cooking techniques (eggs, pancakes, omelets, hash, sandwiches, etc.). Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment. Solid understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Strong knife skills and food preparation abilities. Ability to work as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail. Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
