Line Cook

Hey Babe, we are growing restaurant/bar/lounge concept in the historic YMCA building in East Liberty. We are looking to build a team with people who are positive, excited to learn, and passionate about food, beverage, and hospitality. Experience is preferred, but if are someone who has always wanted to work in a kitchen and is wondering where to begin, we are a team who would love to train you! You will assist our Chef i n the preparation and service of all food items according to our restaurant recipes and standards. Skills/Education 1 year of restaurant experience is preferred Must have weekend and evening availability Preferably some knowledge of line working skills •Must have PM Availability•Most shifts needed are between the hours of 2pm-11pm

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines. Once trained, work across multiple stations efficiently and with precision. Ensure food quality by following safety and sanitation standards. Exhibit knowledge of fundamental cooking techniques. Take ownership of tasks, maintaining consistency and attention to detail. Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

Excellent coordination and manual dexterity. Must be able to stand and walk throughout the entire shift. Requires mobility to bend, stoop, grasp, reach, twist, and lift equipment or items. Ability to withstand various degrees of temperatures during shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Physical strength to pull or push equipment as needed. Ability to follow written directions, read recipes, labels on chemicals/cleaning products, etc. Ability to actively listen to others and respond verbally to request in a professional/effective manner. Position requires mobility and dexterity to bend, stoop, grasp, reach, twist, etc. One may be required to stand during the entire shift. Physical strength and capability to manually push, lift and transport items approximately 50 pounds (lifting) and 100 pounds (pushing).
