Job Description

Job Summary Twelve Whiskey BBQ is seeking to add a few dedicated and skilled Line Cooks to our team. The ideal candidate will be expected to uphold the quality of food, cleanliness, preparation, and teamwork that we hold as our standard. We are looking for PM shifts and weekend shifts mainly to fill in. We have full and part time hours available. Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to standardized recipes and menu specifications. Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment. Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Participate in the training of new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety protocols. Ensure that all kitchen tools, including knives and equipment, are maintained in good working condition. Deep cleaning and reorganizing your areas of work at the end of each shift. Requirements Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role within the restaurant or food industry is preferred but not required. (Pay rates will change depending on experience). Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques, or willing to learn them. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods and equipment is a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team & follow directions. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
