Prep Cook (part time)

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and contribute to the overall success of our kitchen operations. This role is essential in ensuring that our dietary department runs smoothly, supporting menu planning, and maintaining high standards of food handling and safety. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations. Handle food safely, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed at all times. Provide excellent guest relations by taking orders, serving food, and addressing customer inquiries or concerns promptly. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process orders and payments. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery. Assist in bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area throughout service. Participate in inventory management and stock rotation to minimize waste. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required. Strong guest relations skills with a focus on customer satisfaction. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift moderate weights and stand for extended periods while performing duties in the kitchen and dining areas.

Pay:

$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
