Job Description

Barclay Friends is looking for a dedicated and experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality menu items according to recipes, working under the guidance of the Executive Chef. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of classical cooking techniques, such as grilling, sautéing, searing, roasting, and braising, as well as a solid understanding of knife skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain kitchen operations at Barclay Friends to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality meals. Prepare menu items based on recipes and under the direction of the Executive Chef. Portion food according to production schedules and recipe specifications. Follow safe food handling procedures, with a focus on critical control temperatures. Utilize classical cooking methods effectively in meal preparation. Demonstrate proper knife skills and handling. Maintain production records and temperature logs for future reference, purchasing, and expense control. Taste-test and evaluate food to ensure it meets quality standards; consult with the Chef if needed. Properly operate and maintain all kitchen equipment. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and utensils during and after each shift.

Qualifications:
