Job Description
Job Summary The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and presenting food items for evening restaurant service in accordance with brand standards, company standards, and food safety guidelines. This position ensures all food is prepared safely, efficiently, and consistently while maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment that supports an exceptional guest experience. Essential Job Duties Prepare dinner menu items according to brand standards, recipes, portion guidelines, and presentation expectations. Ensure food is cooked to proper temperatures and meets quality and safety standards. Pre-cut, portion, season, and prepare ingredients for dinner service. Present dishes in a consistent, clean, and visually appealing manner. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, prep areas, coolers, and equipment in accordance with company and health department standards. Properly label, date, rotate, and store all food products. Inspect ingredients and food items for freshness, quality, and compliance with brand standards. Communicate with servers and front-of-house staff regarding guest requests, dietary restrictions, and service needs. Follow all company, health, sanitation, food safety, and workplace safety procedures. Maintain regular, punctual attendance and adhere to scheduled shifts. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of one (1) year of related culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior hotel food & beverage (F&B) experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Excellent communication skills and a positive, professional demeanor. Physical & Work Environment Requirements Work is performed indoors in a commercial kitchen environment. Must be able to stand for extended periods and move throughout the kitchen and restaurant. Frequent use of kitchen tools and equipment, including ovens, stovetops, and knives. Must be able to lift and move items up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally. Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
