Responsibilities:
You will need to be a team player who can properly cook the food to order and create a smooth flow of menu items from the kitchen to the servers. You are required to maintain a clean, neat, well-stocked area and use safe food handling procedures. As a line cook, you will need to prepare quality food safely, according to recipes within a specific time frame. These positions require you to stand up to 8 hours during a shift, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and read and follow recipe instructions. Deliver exceptional customer service by preparing food items consistently and adhering to all recipe standards. Keeping refrigerators stocked, cleaned, and rotated to assure a smooth service period. Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, sauté & acute; burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment. Maintain a safe working environment by using proper food handling skills and food safety guidelines. Complete kitchen tasks such as line setup, proper record keeping, food preparation, cleanup and breakdown Qualifications. - Date all food containers and rotate, making sure that all perishables are kept at proper temperatures. Possess a positive, honest and energetic work ethic. Professional appearance and manner, good character to work in an open kitchen. Demand quality in foods prepared and customer service. Produce foods and service as designed in a standard process. Minimum of 2 year experience in food service/hospitality desired. Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers. Basic math and written communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
Ideal candidate possess a minimum of 3 year experience in food service/hospitality. Culinary Certificate or Degree preferred. Serve Safe Certification highly appreciated. Professional appearance and manner, good character to work in a fast-paced team. Positive, honest and energetic work ethic.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Able to work on a flexible schedule, including week-ends and holidays, according to department needs. Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours and be able to lift up, push, and pull at least 50 pounds. Please forward your resume along with availability!
