Sakonnet Vineyard Job Overview:
Sakonnet Vineyard is looking for a dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our growing culinary team. Our Vineyard Café offers small, tapas-style dishes, fresh salads, flatbreads, and artisanal charcuterie , all made fresh to order. The ideal candidate will have a passion for high-quality, seasonal ingredients and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. As Line Cook, you will assist in daily kitchen operations with a focus on prepping and executing menu items coming from the cold line. You will also have opportunities to participate in special events such as wine dinners and pop-ups . This is an excellent role for someone looking to grow with our evolving culinary program.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist with prepping and cooking fresh, made-to-order dishes .
  • Follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality .
  • Ensure attractive food presentation that aligns with our vineyard's atmosphere.
  • Keep kitchen stations clean, stocked, and organized.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards .
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment .
  • Support the Chef/Kitchen Manager and work independently when needed.
  • Participate in special events as part of the culinary team.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar role.
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain high food quality standards .
  • Experience with basic cooking techniques and prep work .
  • Ability to work weekends and peak service hours
  • Food Safety Certification (preferred but not required).
  • Positive attitude, teamwork mentality , and strong work ethic.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Hourly Pay:
    starting at $22 per hour (increase based on experience)
  • Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Employee Discounts (including wine & food)
  • Paid Training & Career Growth Opportunities Work Schedule:
  • 8 to 10-hour shifts
  • Shifts available Wednesday
  • Monday (weekends required)
