Job Summary:

Countryside Living is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Part-Time Cook to prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for our residents. This position is responsible for meal preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and following food safety standards. Much of the work is completed independently, but you will also be part of a supportive team that works together to provide an enjoyable dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve meals for 80+ residents according to planned menus and dietary guidelines Ensure food is prepared in a timely, attractive, and sanitary manner Follow recipes, portion sizes, and special dietary instructions Assist with meal setup and ensure food is served at proper temperatures Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, food preparation areas, and equipment Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils as needed Properly store food and monitor inventory levels Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures Work cooperatively with other dietary staff to ensure smooth meal service Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Previous cooking or food service experience preferred Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented Ability to follow recipes, directions, and food safety procedures Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds Why Join Countryside Living?
