Cook - Temporary

Red Cloud Renewable is seeking a dependable and self-motivated Cook for a temporary 2-week position serving a small group of approximately 10 women in a buffet-style setting . This is a simple cooking position with no advanced culinary experience required. Reliability, timeliness, and the ability to work independently are the most important qualities for this role.

Friday, July 17 Position Responsibilities Arrive prior 11:00 AM each day, to give enough time to prepare the meal Prepare simple meals in a buffet-style setting for approximately 10 women Serve lunch promptly by 12:00 PM Clean up lunch service and begin preparing dinner Serve dinner promptly by posted mealtimes. Remain present during dinner service to assist with additional food needs or special requests Complete a reasonable amount of kitchen cleanup, with proper cleaning and sanitization of dishes, cookware, and prep areas used during, between, and after each meal service. Work independently and manage time efficiently throughout the day. No advanced or professional cooking experience is necessary. Additional Information Another cleaner will be present to assist with general dining cleanup and food service cleanup Must maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment The cook will not be responsible for full dinner cleanup Must maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment The cook is expected to clean up their cooking and preparation areas The cook will not be responsible for full dinner cleanup Ability to work safely around hot appliances, sharp utensils and possibly wet floors Required Qualifications Reliable Dependable, Positive Attitude, Punctual and timeliness, Ability to excel in the kitchen Ability to work independently Working Conditions Environmental conditions will be within a kitchen; working around hot appliances, containers and pans. Environment may be warm, steamy, and/or noisy. Ability to lift / carry 25 lbs. Background check / MVR may be required based on funding and insurance policies. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
