Job Description

Line Cook - Paris Landing State Park Lodge Restaurant 400 Lodge Road, Buchanan, TN 38222 $15.88 an hour - Part-time $15.88 an hour - Part-time Our Tennessee State Parks are among the most beautiful parks in the United States. We have an outstanding opportunity in a beautiful work environment. The Lodge at Paris Landing offers a full-service restaurant, lounge, and catering facilities. The Lodge is in Buchanan, TN, and is a preferred destination for business meetings and conferences as well as a vacation destination for families. This position is responsible for preparing meals for the food and beverage outlets and banquet meetings. The preferred candidate will have knowledge of commercial kitchens and experience in high-volume restaurant operations. Candidates should have the ability to shift back and forth between two or more activities or source of information (multitasking). It is a requirement of the position that a candidate is able to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull or carry objects. A ServSafe certification is required for this position within 90 days of employment. The position requires work on weekends and holidays on a rotating basis.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of commercial grade kitchen appliances. Bake bread, rolls, cakes, pies, and pastries. Clean, cut, cook (by roasting, broiling, baking, and frying) meat, fish, poultry, and vegetables. Prepare restaurant meals to order in a timely manner to ensure gusts satisfaction. Monitor proper portions and plate presentations to minimize waste and satisfy the guest. Prepare food for catered events as contracted by the Lodge. Maintain a clean and functional kitchen that exceeds the Department of Health expectations.
