The Food Prep Staff assists with the preparation and service of meals and the implementation of the food service program in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations and the Child and Adult Care Food Program and USDA guidelines. The Food Prep Staff needs to be available for shifts Monday through Friday from 7am-3pm.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs various preparatory tasks in support of meal preparation. Assists in assembling and preparing foods/meals.• Assists with receiving and storing food. Sets up food serving lines and serves food during mealtimes. Complies with all sanitation and safety codes. Assists with serving meals according to time schedules and planned menus. Wears mandated attire (uniform, enclosed, skid-free shoes, hair net, and apron) manicured, short nails (free of colored nail polish) and gloves when handling food products at all times. Maintains sanitation and cleanliness in the food service area and kitchen equipment. Stores food and supplies properly according to guidelines. Washes and stores clean dishes, pots, pans and utensils according to guidelines. Cleans and maintains kitchen. Operates various machinery and equipment associated with food preparation and related department activities. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to work well and communicate effectively Demonstrated understanding of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and guidelines
Physical Demands:
Walking, stooping, standing, sitting, hearing, seeing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
Training:
Certifications in First Aid, CPR, AED, and O2 required within 30 days of hire New Employee Orientation required within the first week of hire Food Safety training required upon hire Program-specific training required upon hire
