Weakley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dietary Cook to join our team at Weakley Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. As a valued member of our culinary team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our residents. Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including meat, vegetables, and desserts, using standardized recipes and protocols Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards Conduct inventory management and ordering of food and supplies to ensure optimal stock levels Collaborate with the Dietary Manager to plan menus, accommodate special dietary needs, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Develop and implement creative and appetizing meal plans, incorporating fresh ingredients and seasonal options Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and staff members Maintain accurate records of food production, waste management, and inventory
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred 0 years of experience in food service or culinary arts; recent graduates welcome to apply Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Strong understanding of nutrition principles and food safety protocols Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods
