Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards, ensuring consistency and presentation excellence. Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation protocols at all times. Support the kitchen team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders and ensuring timely delivery of dishes. Handle food handling procedures responsibly, including proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste. Collaborate with culinary staff on menu planning ideas and special dish preparations to enhance the dining experience. Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively, supporting colleagues, and maintaining high standards of food quality. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings; fine dining experience is a plus. Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques across various cuisines. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is advantageous but not required. Familiarity with catering services and food industry best practices enhances your suitability for this role. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
