Full Job Description Job Purpose:
The Philippe Nashville Line/Wok Cook FT at Philippe Nash LLC is responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to company recipes and standards, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to guests. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment, focusing on Asian cuisine, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook food items in accordance with company recipes and standards, focusing on Asian cuisine, particularly wok cooking. Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards before serving to guests. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following health and safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Monitor food inventory and report any shortages or discrepancies to management. Assist in the training of new kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training or certification is preferred.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a line cook or similar role in a high-volume kitchen. Proven experience with Asian cuisine, particularly wok cooking techniques. Experience in a fast-paced hospitality or restaurant environment.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in operating kitchen equipment, including woks, grills, and fryers. Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation standards. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in food preparation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
