Dishes come off of a 20-foot live fire hearth that is visible from the dining room. We offer both a la carte options as well as a 15 course tasting menu. We also have had the honor of being one of the restaurants in Austin to be awarded 1 Michelin star in both years of Michelin being in Texas. We are seeking cooks who want to be chefs. Our goal is to find talented individuals that are passionate about food so we can give them the tools to be successful. For this position, success is defined as doing your best and producing high quality ingredients. We strive to create a team-based atmosphere where individuals can grow together. Experience in live fire cooking, fermentation, whole animal butchery and bread baking is a plus but not a necessity. We put local first. We sort things through the priority list of Local Independent Producer > Texas > Regional > Other when deciding what to purchase each week. This allows us to support our community as much as possible while giving us access to the best they have to offer. Monetary related compensation includes:
Paid sick time. Health, dental and vision insurance available with company contribution. 45-55 Hour, 4-5 day work week. Educational stipend opportunities. 50% Dining discounts at our sister restaurants, Ezov, Canje, Kalimoxto, Emmer and Rye and the Pullman market Referral bonus's Retention bonus's This position is part of our restaurants tip pool, the base wage is $8 + Tips. The advertised compensation is an average of the last 12 months.
Non-Monetary related compensation includes:
Mentorship, daily feedback as well as reviews. Educational classes, and trips. Flexible Scheduling, and consistent hours. Opportunity for internal promotions. Access to farming education, organized trips to our producers, beverage education. The ability to transfer between our sister concepts after 6 months of employment. Whole animal butchery classes Fermentation classes with our extensive fermentation program (Miso, lactic fermentation, vinegar making, amino/garum making, blackening ingredients)

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
