The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Line/Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of our restaurant. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to food safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and meats according to recipes and specifications. Assist in the cooking process by preparing sauces, stocks, and other components as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including utensils, equipment, and storage areas. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining experience for our guests. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of meals for service. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring that all food is prepared to high standards. Requirements Previous experience in food preparation or culinary roles is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential. Familiarity with various cooking methods and knife skills is advantageous. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques in the kitchen. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
