About Toast To That! Toast To That! is a vibrant brunch restaurant built around great food, craft cocktails, and unforgettable guest experiences. Our menu blends elevated breakfast classics, creative brunch dishes, specialty coffee drinks, and a lively bar program featuring mimosas, Bloody Marys, spiked coffees, and brunch cocktails. At Toast To That!, brunch should feel like a celebration — whether guests are catching up with friends, enjoying family time, or starting their weekend. Our restaurant operates primarily during morning and brunch hours , which means no late nights and a balanced schedule. We are building a kitchen team that takes pride in quality ingredients, strong preparation, and teamwork. Position Overview The Prep Cook at Toast To That! plays an essential role in preparing ingredients and supporting the kitchen team before and during service. This role focuses on ingredient preparation, portioning, and maintaining organized kitchen stations so that the line cooks can execute dishes efficiently during busy brunch service. Key Responsibilities Food Preparation
- Wash, chop, slice, and portion ingredients according to recipes
- Prepare sauces, batters, dressings, and other menu components
- Prep fresh fruits, vegetables, proteins, and garnishes
- Assist in preparing items for the brunch and bar menu Kitchen Organization
- Label and store ingredients properly following food safety standards
- Maintain organized prep stations and storage areas
- Assist with stocking and restocking kitchen ingredients Support During Service
- Assist line cooks with prep needs during busy service periods
- Refill ingredients and prep items as needed
- Maintain clean prep areas throughout the shift Sanitation & Safety
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain clean cutting boards, knives, and prep stations
- Assist with kitchen cleaning tasks at the end of the shift Ideal Candidate We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous kitchen or prep experience (preferred but not required)
- Works efficiently and stays organized
- Has strong attention to detail
- Is reliable and team-oriented
- Is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Has weekend availability Schedule Prep cooks typically work earlier shifts to prepare ingredients before service.
Typical hours:
5:30 AM - 2:00 PM Weekend availability required. Compensation & Benefits- $14 - $17 per hour depending on experience
