Known for made to order dishes and welcoming atmosphere, we are dedicated to serving exceptional meals to our guests. We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding dining experiences.
Job Description:
The Line Cook/Prep Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes according to our menu standards, ensuring food quality and consistency, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment and requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a passion for cooking.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards. Ensure all dishes are made to specification, maintaining consistency in flavor, appearance, and portion size. •
Station Maintenance:
Set up and maintain workstations, including keeping ingredients and supplies stocked, organized, and properly stored. •
Ingredient Handling:
Receive, inspect, and store deliveries. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and in good condition. •
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen. Regularly clean workstations, utensils, and equipment. •
Collaboration:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations. Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front-of-house staff. •
Quality Control:
Monitor and ensure the quality of dishes before they are served to customers. Address any issues or inconsistencies promptly. •
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations. Properly handle and store food to prevent contamination. •
Inventory Management:
Assist with inventory counts and order supplies as needed. Report any shortages or issues to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Ability to work efficiently under pressure, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail. Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and noisy environment.
Communication:
Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Flexibility:
Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
