Food Truck Prep / Line Cook Denton Food Truck Denton, TX Job Details Full-time $14 - $18 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Pre-cooking preparation Teamwork Operations management Menu planning Food service inventory management Attention to detail ServSafe Food Manager Certification Full Job Description Position Summary The Prep Cook supports the daily operations of the Food truck through food prep, cooking, cleanliness, organization, and kitchen support. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in consistency, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. The ideal candidate works with urgency, stays detail-oriented under pressure, and is always looking for the next way to help the team succeed. Service will be based out of a stationary brand new 20ft food trailer. Signature menu items include smash burgers, hand-breaded chicken tenders, fries, and a variety of shareable plates Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep lists Assist with cooking and assembling menu items during service Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck, prep areas, and equipment Follow recipes, portion standards, and food safety procedures consistently Help receive, organize, rotate, and store inventory properly Support the Kitchen Manager with prep planning and operational needs Assist with opening kitchen & closing duties Work with intention and urgency while maintaining quality and attention to detail. Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and management teams Jump in wherever needed to support overall kitchen flow and guest experience What We're Looking For Strong work ethic and sense of urgency Team-first mentality and willingness to help wherever needed Ability to stay organized and focused in a high-volume environment Detail-oriented with pride in cleanliness and consistency Passion for food, hospitality, and learning kitchen operations Ability to multitask and problem solve during busy shifts Previous kitchen or prep experience required Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items Food Manager Certified Interested in joining our team?
