Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and ensuring consistency in dish presentation Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage Ensure food safety protocols are strictly followed at all times to prevent contamination or spoilage Support catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes and coordinating timely service Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods Serve dishes promptly and professionally, providing excellent food service to guests or customers Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings, ideally with dietary department or dietary aide background Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Experience with menu planning, food industry practices, and culinary techniques preferred Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed

Pay:

$10.00 - $12.00 per hour
