Looking for an energetic, hard working, driven individual who is interested in broadening their career within a fast growing environment and company. Our Parent Company Black Stone Ventures owns and operates Martini's Seafood, Jack's Chophouse, Grapetown Vineyard and Bankersmith Saloon and Dance Hall. We are also opening a new concept downtown as well. Black Stone is a high functioning operation that demands a greater level of performance. You will be forced to grow and to improve in this organization. We are looking for leaders to build with us for many years to come. Our restaurant teams consist of culinary professionals who are eager to learn and are easily coached. All are small kitchens, so it is important to work well together as a highly functioning, tight knit group. Position Duties (List Not Exhaustive) As Line Cook, you will be responsible for overseeing culinary operations of our establishment.Your duties will include:
Maintaining a sterile and 100% clean Kitchen and BoH Operation (If you do not like to clean, do NOT apply) Facilitates food preparation Assists with inventory and management of goods Keeps up with vendor communication Orders food/supplies Offers suggestions and ideas to improve kitchen operations Keep stations clean and up to food safety standards Ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation Meeting and exceeding proper food safety standards Following clear direction and collaborating with the management team to develop overall culinary strategySkills and Qualifications:
Love to Clean Clear and Open Communication Willingness to lear various cooking techniques, ingredients and practices Team building and management techniques Creativity Time management Ability to work under pressure Professional attitude. No drugs. No drinking. No drama. Period.The ideal candidate should have:
Experience working in dining establishments Be able to work flexible hours Have good communication skills, proficiency in both English and Spanish is a plus Be eligible to work in the United States Strong knowledge of food handling procedures Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant industry is preferred Willingness to assist in various areas of the kitchenJob Type:
