Full Job Description Job Description:
The Dietary Director is responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served complying with all application sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standings while following established food production programs and procedures. The Dietary Director is also responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud. •Certified Manager License Required•
Principal Responsibilities:
Prepares and maintains published menus for 3 month period in advance. Prepare or direct preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems Ensure availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation Set steam table; serve or ensure proper serving of food for tray line or dining room Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs Confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee, and operations data Quality assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior Promotes positive public relations among resident, staff, and guests; Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations Trains and orients new food service staff and promptly addresses performance problems Interviews job applicants and, with executive director, makes hiring decisions Comply with establishes sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards. Observe proper food preparation and handling techniques Ensures that food is properly and safely stored, including labeling and dating Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance to supervisor
Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
