Stumpy's Restaurant, a busy lakefront dining destination on Lake Granbury, is seeking a dependable and motivated Cook / Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist with food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen while delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to Stumpy's recipes and quality standards Set up and stock cooking stations with necessary supplies Ensure food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and health guidelines Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food storage areas Assist with inventory management and food rotation Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff Support team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations Perform other related duties as assigned by kitchen management Qualifications & Skills Previous cooking or line cook experience preferred but not required Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and consistency Ability to follow instructions and recipes Team-oriented with a positive and reliable attitude Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds Food Handler Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
