Job Description

Prep Cook (Meal Prep) - Full Time Platr Houston, TX Job Details Full-time From $15 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Qualifications Recipe adherence Cutting Marinating meat Full Job Description Platr is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our growing meal prep production team. This is not a traditional restaurant prep position. Our Prep Cooks are responsible for preparing the foundation of every meal we produce, including vegetable preparation, protein trimming, cutting, and most importantly, executing large-batch marinades with absolute consistency. Responsibilities Wash, prep, cut, and portion vegetables according to production reports. Trim, cut, and prepare large quantities of chicken, beef, seafood, and other proteins. Execute bulk marinades for hundreds of portions each week. Follow marinade and recipe reports exactly as written. Measure all ingredients accurately to the gram. Ensure every marinade is mixed consistently and uniformly. Label, organize, and store products properly. Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workstation. Assist with receiving, inventory organization, and general kitchen prep duties. Requirements Previous kitchen or food production experience preferred. Strong knife skills and ability to work efficiently with large quantities of ingredients. Ability to carefully follow written recipes and production reports. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. What Success Looks Like At Platr, consistency starts with prep. Our marinades must be executed exactly the same way every single week. A marinade that is too strong, too weak, missing ingredients, or measured incorrectly affects hundreds of meals and thousands of dollars of product. The ideal candidate understands the importance of precision and can confidently execute large-batch marinades while following reports exactly as written. Every ingredient must be weighed accurately, every recipe must be followed precisely, and every batch must taste the same week after week. Attention to detail is not optional in this role - it is essential. Schedule Full-Time Weekend availability required Morning shifts available Pay Competitive hourly pay based on experience If you take pride in organization, consistency, and executing recipes accurately at scale, we'd love to hear from you.
