Join our dynamic team as an ayudante , where you will play a vital role in supporting our dietary department by assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring the smooth operation of food service activities. Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation and cooking, following established recipes and safety guidelines Support the dietary team in menu planning and food presentation to ensure variety and nutritional balance Handle food items safely, adhering to food safety standards and proper hygiene practices Prepare ingredients, chop vegetables, portion meals, and assist with plating for service Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas in compliance with sanitation protocols Serve meals to residents or clients efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience Support catering events or special meal services as needed, including setup and cleanup Experience Prior experience in dietary assistance, food service, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques is advantageous Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations is highly desirable Experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting demonstrates strong customer service skills and kitchen familiarity Ability to operate kitchen tools safely, including knives and other culinary equipment Previous roles involving meal preparation or catering support will be considered a plus Join us in creating a supportive environment where your culinary talents can flourish!
