Full-Time/Part-Time, Non-Exempt Overview DoubleTree by Hilton Laredo is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Cook I to shape and optimize our hotel's food and beverage landscape. Position Summary Cook I is an advanced-level culinary position responsible for preparing high-quality meals with minimal supervision. This role requires mastery of multiple stations, consistent execution, and leadership support in training junior staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook high-volume menu items to brand standards and specifications. Lead station setup and breakdown; assist in directing junior cooks. Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation. Ensure compliance with Hilton, local, and state food safety standards. Assist Sous Chef in inventory control, ordering, and training. Serve as backup to line leads during peak periods. Maintain cleanliness and equipment in working order.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a hotel or high-volume kitchen. Proficient in sauté, grill, oven, and cold prep. Strong knowledge of food safety and ServSafe certified. Excellent time management and ability to multitask.
