Position Summary The Cook II is responsible for independently preparing and cooking a variety of menu items while maintaining high-quality standards. This position requires a foundation in culinary techniques and the ability to manage assigned production with limited supervision. Essential Responsibilities Prepare and cook proteins, vegetables, starches, sauces, soups, and specialty menu items. Execute daily production schedules efficiently and accurately. Ensure consistency in product quality, presentation, and flavor. Maintain proper mise en place and station organization. Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards. Support banquet, restaurant, and special event production as assigned. Follow HACCP, food safety, and sanitation standards. Qualifications 1 to 2 years of professional culinary experience. Knowledge of cooking methods, knife skills, and culinary fundamentals. Experience operating standard commercial kitchen equipment. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Licenses and Special Requirements Food Safety Certification. Physical Demands and Work Environment Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach. Push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Work in hot, humid and noisy environment. Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
