Job Description

Cook All Summer. Live in Northern Michigan. Looking for more than another restaurant job? Spend your summer working at one of Michigan's premier destination resorts while living where people vacation. Treetops Resort is seeking motivated Line Cooks to join our culinary team for the summer season. Whether you're looking to gain experience, save money, build your culinary skills, or simply spend a summer somewhere new, Treetops offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced resort environment surrounded by golf, outdoor recreation, and a team of seasonal staff from across the country. Seasonal housing available ($15/day) Full-time hours available Overtime opportunities during peak periods Employee discounts throughout the resort Work alongside experienced culinary professionals Opportunity to return for future seasons or year-round employment Season runs approximately May through October with flexible start dates available. What You'll Do As a Line Cook, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences across multiple resort outlets, including restaurants, banquets, golf operations, special events, and catering functions.
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards Operating grill, sauté, fryer, pantry, prep, and banquet stations Maintaining quality, consistency, and presentation standards Assisting with food preparation and production for daily service Following all food safety and sanitation procedures Maintaining clean and organized workstations Supporting banquet, event, and resort dining operations as needed Working efficiently in a fast-paced team environment Assisting with inventory, product rotation, and waste reduction efforts No two days are exactly alike. Depending on business levels, you may support multiple culinary operations throughout the resort. Compensation Competitive Pay Based on Experience $18 - $23 per hour Compensation is determined based on experience, skill level, culinary background, and position assignment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Restaurant, resort, hotel, banquet, or catering experience Experience working grill, sauté, pantry, fry, or prep stations Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Culinary school experience is a plus but not required Whether you're an experienced cook or looking to advance your culinary career, we'd love to talk with you.
