Overview Join our vibrant culinary team as a BBq Line Cook/Pit Boss, where your passion for barbecue and culinary expertise will shine! In this energetic role, you will oversee the preparation and cooking of smoked meats and grilled dihes, ensuring every plate meets our high standards of flavor and presentation. As a key leader on the line, you'll manage food safety protocols, coordinate with kitchen staff, and maintain an efficient workflow to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties Lead the BBQ station by preparing and cooking smoked meats, grilled items, and side dishes with precision and flair Oversee food handling procedures to ensure safety, quality, and freshness at all times Manage the flow of food preparation, coordinating with kitchen staff to meet service timelines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pit area and kitchen workspace in compliance with health regulations Assist in menu planning by suggesting new recipes or techniques to enhance our barbecue offerings Monitor inventory levels of meats, spices, and supplies; place orders as needed to keep the station stocked Train and mentor junior team members on proper cooking techniques, food safety standards, and customer service expectations Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and food handling within a restaurant or food industry setting Strong knowledge of barbecue techniques, smoking processes, and grill management Proven leadership skills with experience in kitchen supervision or as a pit boss Excellent knife skills for meat trimming and prep work Familiarity with menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations Commitment to food safety standards and proper sanitation practices Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a lively dining environment while maintaining attention to detail If you're passionate about crafting delicious barbecue dishes and leading a dynamic culinary team, we want to hear from you!
