Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and components for menu items with precision and efficiency, following established recipes and standards Assist in cooking and plating dishes, maintaining consistency and presentation quality Support the kitchen team in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety regulations and sanitation standards to promote a safe working environment Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to ensure a hygienic kitchen space Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods Support catering events or special functions as needed, ensuring timely meal service and quality control Qualifications Previous experience in a food service environment such as restaurants, catering, or dietary departments is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety protocols Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation from scratch Familiarity with dietary aide practices and dietary department experience is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team Basic understanding of menu planning, food handling, and food industry standards Join us if you're passionate about creating delicious meals, thrive under pressure, and want to grow your culinary career in a lively, supportive environment!
