Job Description

At Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards we strive to make the best wines possible from grapes grown in our vineyards as well as from the Texas High Plains, but never do we lose sight of just having fun. Its why Los Pinos Ranch Vineyards was designed to be a haven where people can connect, relax, decompress, and enjoy an unhurried glass of wine while enjoying a bite to eat from our full-service restaurant. Our winery has been around for 20+ years and is located in Camp County Texas approximately 2 hours east of Dallas in the piney woods of East Texas. We are seeking a Line Cook/Prep Cook to help us grow and continue to expand our restaurant business. We are a unique winery for East Texas in that we have not only a full winery production facility, but we also offer a casual dining experience right on the grounds along with private tastings, tours and guest can even stay at cottages on the grounds. Our Line Cooks/Prep Cooks are integral in of our business. This is an incredible opportunity to join an established, profitable, and growing business and build upon our solid foundation of excellent food and customer service. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Line Cooks/Prep Cooks. Responsibilities Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality in partnership with the Executive Chef. Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties as directed by the Executive Chef Skills Exceptional cooking skills Knowledge of health and safety standards Ability to multitask and work quickly under pressure Advanced verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail and organizational skills Multi-lingual (Spanish/English) is a huge plus. Compensation Depends on experience but base pay starts at $13/hr.
