Full Job Description Description:
Doubletree by Hilton is seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will assist in preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. If you have a love for cooking and are eager to contribute to a dynamic kitchen environment, we want to hear from you! Where you can make an impact: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands and guest expectations. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and sanitation guidelines. Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking to ensure flavor and presentation meet resort standards. Collaborate with the culinary team to create seasonal menus and specials, providing input on new dishes. Assist with inventory management, including receiving and storing food products and reporting any shortages. Support kitchen operations by cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and workstations. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards. Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive and collaborative kitchen atmosphere.
Requirements:
Education/Formal Training:
High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality management preferred.
Experience:
Previous experience in a front desk or customer service role preferred. Familiarity with property management systems is a plus.
Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for providing outstanding service. Ability to handle cash and process transactions accurately. Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and reservation software. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
