The ideal candidate has experience with Mediterranean cuisine, including grilling, seasoning, sauces, fresh ingredients, and fast-paced kitchen operations. Responsibilities Prepare and cook Mediterranean dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards Operate kitchen equipment including grills, ovens, fryers, and prep stations Prepare meats, seafood, vegetables, rice, sauces, dips, and salads Maintain food presentation and portion control standards Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and food storage Keep kitchen stations clean and organized Work efficiently during busy service hours Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth operations Requirements Previous experience as a cook in a Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, or similar restaurant preferred Knowledge of Mediterranean cuisine and cooking techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Food Handler Certification preferred Preferred Skills Experience preparing dishes such as shawarma, kebabs, hummus, falafel, gyros, grilled seafood, and Mediterranean salads Knife skills and food preparation experience Ability to multitask and maintain consistency under pressure Benefits Competitive pay Flexible scheduling Employee meals or discounts Opportunity for growth and advancement
