Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to detail, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate. Handle all aspects of food preparation, including slicing fish, assembling rolls, and garnishing dishes to enhance visual appeal. Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen staff on menu planning and daily specials to keep offerings fresh and innovative. Assist with kitchen organization, inventory management, and cleanliness to uphold high standards of hygiene and efficiency. Serve sushi dishes promptly and courteously to guests, providing excellent food service that elevates their dining experience. Support catering events or special functions by preparing sushi platters that meet client specifications. Qualifications Proven experience in a culinary setting, particularly with sushi preparation or fine dining environments. Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques specific to sushi making. Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling of raw ingredients. Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry standards. Background in dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus, demonstrating attention to dietary restrictions and nutritional considerations. Excellent food service skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
