- Part-time, Full-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant or catering environments. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations. Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and cooking appliances. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist with ordering as needed. Participate in training new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices. Experience Previous experience as a Line Cook or Prep Cook in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred. Knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and dietary department practices. Familiarity with menu planning and the ability to follow recipes accurately. Strong understanding of food safety standards and best practices within the kitchen environment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in using various kitchen tools and equipment.
